WRBC Youth TEAM

On Wednesday, December 31st we do NOT have a formal youth TEAM meeting at WRBC.  Ed and Beverly Henscheid are hosting a New Year’s Eve Party at their home (260 Hammond Avenue).  They are opening their home for teens 7th-12th grade to come over and play games, watch old Christmas movies, and eat pizza.  Activity starts around 6:30 PM and goes until you want it to be done   The cost is $4 (to chip-in for pizza).  As Ed and Beverly would like a count… please e-mail your RSVP to them by Tuesday night:  idm@musician.org or call them at 319-233-2597 (street address:  260 Hammond Avenue)

Friday, December 12th from 4:00 to 6:00 PM:  WRBC Youth TEAM Girls minister at Waterloo’s Quakerdale Home
(See Bev or Laurie, if you’re interested in going.  Meet at WRBC at 3:30 PM.  The “service” is from 4 to 5 PM.  For those interested… we’ll go out to supper afterwards.)

Sunday, December 14th:  Sunday School Christmas Program – 10:40 to 11:30 AM
NOTE:  Teens need to dress modestly and nicely.
… Also, Youth TEAM “Time-Out” at Tebbenkamp’s House
(after the evening service to 9:30 PM)
Transportation provided to Tebbenkamp’s home and back to WRBC.
Bring a ”white-elephant” gift (Don’t know what it is… ask your parents!  One Rule:  Don’t buy anything!!!).
***Teenagers who are planning to attend the “Time-Out” are HIGHLY encouraged to be in attendance at the evening service at WRBC at 6:00 PM.  Because this event falls on a school night, teens may only stay later than 9:15 PM, if they have their own transportation home and parental permission.

Cookies ’N’ Caroling:  Wednesday, December 17th
NOTE 4 PARENTS:  Youth TEAM will not be over until 9:00 PM!
3:30-5:30 PM - WRBC Kitchen:  Bring sugar cookie dough for 2 or 3 dozen cookies, Rolling Pins, cookie cutters, and Christmas cookie decorations.
5:30-6:10 PM – Pizza Supper (for teens who came and helped make cookies)
6:10-6:40 PM – Clean-Up and Pack-Up
6:40-6:50 PM – Divide into ministry teams
6:50-8:50 PM – Caroling
8:50-9:00 PM – Christmas ”Surprise”
9:03 PM – Return to WRBC

Sunday, December 21st:  Youth TEAM Sessions 10:40 to 11:30 am

Wednesday, December 24th:  No formal Youth TEAM meeting.  Teens are encouraged to attend the WRBC Christmas Eve service with their parents at 5:30 PM in the WRBC Auditorium.

Sunday PM, December 28th from 7:30 to 10:00 PM in the WRBC Annex & Gym
7th-9th Graders ONLY!!! 
DODGEBALL DEBACLE and UNDERGROUND CHURCH
***Bring your own money for pop machines and a change of clothes for gym activities.  We’ll provide snacks and food.  Teens staying for the activity are highly encouraged to attend the evening service at 6:00 PM.

Wednesday, December 31st:  Youth TEAM does not meet.

Thursday, January 1st from 10:30 AM to @4:00 PM
10th-12th Graders ONLY!!!  (College age students from WRBC are also invited.)
New Year’s Football & Fun Party at Tebbenkamp’s Home
***SH Teens are invited along with the College Class to come to our home for food, board games, football, video games, etc.  Bring a holiday treat to share with others, your favorite board game, your favorite game system, and a friend.  This is a come and go as you please event.
