This Wednesday begins a new series with the Senior High Youth TEAM… Share Jesus Without Fear.

Pastor Dave, David B., and Emily K. went to Faith and heard Dan Dark and Pastor Pat Odle preach in four sessions. They preached on keeping your conscience clear, and remember to read your Bible every day for a better understanding of what the Lord will is for your life. Pastor Dave and David B. went to the IMAX and ended up taking a trip to the Jordan Creek where we drove in NASCAR simulator. David B. ended up making Pastor Dave do circles. CRASH!!!
For those who may think about going to the conference next year. David B. highly recommends you to do so, because you will most likely meet a new friend or two. As well as mature spiritually as you allow yourself to apply the messages to your life. Not to mention… seeing Pastor Dave dance and sing to “Singing in the Rain” and yell out,” I have to go to the bathroom!”
Shane will be going on a 400 day tour with the Army National Guard. The Youth TEAM surprised him with a 16GB iPod Touch along with a protective case, screen protectors, $50 iTunes Music Store Gift card, and a one year extended warranty.
We as a Youth TEAM have committed to pray often for Shane and his family and the unique opportunity that he has to impact our lives and our country.
Jared received first place for the preaching category in TFC at Grandview Park Baptist Church in Des Moines on Saturday April 5. He received a trophy, a $100 gift certificate, and a $1,000 college scholarship. He now has the opportunity to compete in the national TFC competition on June 26th in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
Jared’s famous quote from his speach and about his win is, “Talents for Christ is not “TFMe” it is “TFC!” We know Jared wants all the glory to be given to God. 1 Corinthians 10:31
Students in 5-12th grades were invited to join us for a evening of video games, board games, and basketball. Teams collected points for playing games for their teams and competed to win some nifty brain teasers. One lucky winner, Yooreaskdthoinacu… I mean Joe, won an iPod Shuffle.
Stay tuned, word on the street is that Pastor Dave is planning a Gi-Normous Game Night II.
Details coming to the web soon.
